I'm requesting some prayers for my family right now..... My family is going through a rough time...The Meases are having struggles!
Especially my uncle and his family.... My uncle was fired from his job this year, Rebel (his dog) was hit by a car and killed, then my grand father passed away in May, Hurricane Irene flooded his house and totaled his car, & now this snow storm has them without any power at their rental house and its pushing back their date to move back into their REAL house until very late December / Early January. Plus, he has ongoing health problems with his heart and lungs. My dad hasn't really told me everything but I can't help but feel horrible for them. We're all very close. Just prayers that all this will pass soon....I know he's really overwhelmed and my Dad was saying my uncle's had about all he can stand and he's so tired of it. Has me very worried...Thats all I'll say for now, but if you could lift them up in prayers; I would greatly appreciate it. :paw

I'll be praying for your family, Em. Yes, it does sound like they've had more than their share to deal with. Like someone said, "the Lord doesn't give us more than we can handle." However, my younger son, Rick, always said, "well, sometimes the Lord cuts it awfully close!" Praying that things will turn around for your family, especially for your uncle. He really does need some encouragement. Em, this is a lot for you to deal with, too. Just remember I Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." That's true and it really works!! Love you, Em

I keep thinking about being instructed to "look up" that is what prayer does...it gets us to look up and see the love and care of our Father.

They, and We, will survive. The good news is they are in a rental house.... (It could be worse....they could be living out of a suitcase!) God has blessed them in other ways. And Gail I have to completely agree with you! Sometimes God puts us through a storm ; but there is always sun on the other side. I think we can all relate to this when I say there have been many times in my life where I thought it was impossible to go on. Each time, I was convicted to call out to God for help. And guess what? He ALWAYS gave me the strength to move on. God will always take care of you, and always keep his promises. It might not be today...or tomorrow...next week, next month or even next year; but he will get you through it. :hp

Just trying to remember that...its sometimes hard to take your own advice. :dk
