As you may know, we have a problem from time to time with people who come on the forum and post for the sole purpose of selling a litter of puppies.
Per the forum rules, the only litters that should be mentioned on the forum are those from parents that have passed OFA and CERF testing AND whose breeders have contacted me in advance to make sure that I am OK with publicizing their litter on the forum. This system will keep the forum from getting overrun by messages from breeders looking to make a quick buck by selling poorly-bred puppies to our forum members.
To help you all identify which breeders have my permission to publicize their litters on the forum, I've added a very simple new indicator on to the forum. Breeders that I've identified as being "good breeders" that do OFA and CERF testing to their adult dogs prior to breeding are now being identified as "recommended breeders". You will see the term "recommended breeder" underneath their forum name and above their avatar whenever they post. This is similar to the thing that says "I Own A Zim Dog!" or "I Rescued A Cocker".
To see an example of a post by a recommended breeder and how the phrase "recommended breeder" appears under their forum name, take a look at
http://zimfamilycockers.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1015In the future, I could use your help in identifying posts promoting litters by breeders that have not been pre-approved by me. If you see a post about a litter of pups, and you don't see the phrase "recommended breeder" over on the left side of the screen under their forum name... please contact me with the location of the post, so that I can take a look and delete as needed.
Also, if there are any forum members who have been identified as a "recommended breeder" and who (for whatever reason) do not want to be identified this way... please let me know.
Conversely, if you are a breeder who does OFA and CERF testing to your adult dogs prior to breeding... and you have not already been given the "recommended breeder" designation on the forum... please let me know.
Thanks!
