I think the trick may be to balance the weight correctly. You need to make sure they don't feel like their front feet will support them if they move the back feet. I can't tell you how to do that, you just need to figure it out. I groom eight to ten dogs a day this way, and none dance. Some will really try to avoid standing up, but once I get them up, they all hold still.
