This is a first for Camp Cocker Rescue, rescuing a dog from another state . . . but when we saw this dog's picture and heard his story, we took quick action.
This little cocker had been a stray dog for three weeks in the town of Madison, TN. The police had been called, the dog had been scanned for a microchip, flyers were posted everywhere to look for the owners and no one came forward.
A good samaritan in the neighborhood had been feeding the dog until it got attacked by a large dog. The eye needs to be removed asap and the lady is not in a financial position to either pay for medical care and can't take the dog into her home.
Luckily, we found a volunteer whom lives in the Nashville area who got in her car and drove over there to immediately get the dog picked up and bring him to the animal emergency hospital.
We need to raise funds right now to pay for this dog to go into emergency surgery from the dog attack and the eye is most likely going to need to be removed.
This dog is out of surgery but needs a very reliable foster in the Goodlettsvilee TN area, please go to camp cocker.com to fill out an application. You can read his complete story and see photos on the chip in link.
