Hi, we have a pure bred red color cocker that was returned to us as breeders as the owner passed away and the lady taking care of it for a short while cannot do it. The dog is 5 ½ years old. All shots up to date and recently groomed. No health issues.
We have had her 4 days and she is a gem. (Her mother is with us to so that might make thing good also) She sits, stays, shakes, asked to go out, good on a leash, (has at one time used a dog door), kennels up at night or will sleep with you. Has many toys and they are in pretty good shape, not a big chewer. Has been a boat dog, too.
Because we still own the mother and another ½ sibling, we cannot adopt Duchess permanently but are willing to do all in our power to make sure she is placed in a loving home…timing is not critical as she seems to blend well with our animals. Her owner was an older gentleman so we know that she has not been integrated with children, but our neighbor and her 18 month old daughter visited yesterday and there were no problems at all.
