UPDATE: This is an update to my original message below: I'm going through a divorce, our house was sold, and I'm unemployed, so I need to stay with family temporarily, (who can't take pets) until I can get back on my feet. I am looking for temporary foster care for my Cocker Spaniel until I have a job and find an apartment for us. Then, I can get Duchess back so we're together again. Please help if you can. I will pay for her food, medication, and health insurance. I just need someone to love her until I can get her back. July 11th is the date Duchess will be homeless (that's when we need to be out of our house).

I'm looking for foster or adopted parents for my senior Cocker Spaniel, "Duchess" ASAP because I'm moving and can't take her with me. If I don't find a new home for her by July 11th, I will need to take her to a shelter. She's a sweet heart :hp and I'm heart-broken :cry about it. She loves her walks twice a day and sometimes plays with the smaller dogs during the walk. :run She doesn't bark ever I think because of her layed back personality. I've had her for 11 years and she only barked twice; once when she was threatened by a coyote and another time when she saw me scarred by someone in the dark. She's easy going, gentle, and sensitive. She can sense who loves her and loves to spend time with me all day if possible. :love She sleeps most of the day but if I leave the room, she wakes up and looks for me. If you or someone you know wants to care for her, that you trust, please let me know. I will continue to pay for her health insurance, her food, and medications for a period of time, at least 6 months. She has a number of medical issues but the medications keep her stable.

We are located in South Orange County in CA. Please contact me at (949) 463-6645. :Rule

Also, if you know of other places I can contact to help me find her a home, please let me know.
Thank you,
Cynthia

I feel the same way. I'm going through a divorce and we just sold our house. I don't have a job so I will be staying with family who can't have pets until I can get my own apartment. I would love to take her back afterward if possible.

Since you are in south OC, I suggest you contact the San Diego Spaniel Rescue. They are closer to you than Camp Cocker.

Due to awesome networking, someone wonderful contacted me who was willing to foster her until I can get back on my feet. We're approximately an hour away so I get to stay involved in her care and continue to see her. She is wonderful and has two blonde cockers herself. Duchess and her dogs got along as soon as they saw each other and now act like a pack. Duchess feels very comfortable there! Thank you for the reminder regarding my posting. How can I move it to closed now?

Usually the moderators read and move these for you. So happy this is working out for you and your baby. Best of luck in the future.
