Ok, I'm did it again :sad . I messed up in my Open Obedience class and NQ'd for the 4th straight time. Mom would really like me to get my act together so we could finish this title. Our next obedience competition will be in July at the Cocker National show. Mom says we are going to some practice shows in June to work out my ring-stress-issues.

Tomorrow we will do agility. We haven't done much practicing for the past 3 weeks because of Mom's shoulders (she spent hours today at the doctor's having MRIs done so we didn't get to practice :sad). She says it is getting to the point where it hurts to type. No problem, that is why it is good to have a canine reporter in the house :gig .

:wv Aunti Juanita,

I shaped up some today. I had a qualifying run in jumpers :joy but not in standard (the obstacle course) :sad. Mom was pleased enough; but it was a VERY long day. I was done by 11:00 am, but Mom stayed all day for meetings (some about Cocker National in Reno). I was in my crate for awhile at the agility barn and then Mom had me use a crate in the conformation setups. I was very quiet so I didn't disturb the meeting. We didn't leave the show site until 8:30 -- we had been there since 7:00 AM. As Mom loaded me in the van, she said today I was perfect :love .

We are taking tomorrow off and will do agility on Monday.

Hi all :hi,

Today was a very good day because I earned a big title: Master Agility (MX) :joy . The Master Agility title requires 10 qualifying scores in the excellent B division. The next title for me is the elusive MACH. Don't hold your breathe and plan any celebrations for a while. I only have 3 double q's and 243 MACH points of the required 20 double q's and 750 MACH points.

Here are my two good runs from this weekend.
Solo_Mon_Excellent_Standard_SCPWDC_AKC_May_2012.mp4

Solo_Sat_Excellent_JWW_SCPWDC_AKC_May_2012.mp4

Rosey started her semi-retirement agility career by running in 8" Novice Preferred. Yep, she has to go back and start in novice. She ran clean and the other 8" nov. pref. dog didn't, so Rosey won the standard and jumper classes.

We are doing agility next weekend here in Pasadena. I'm competing both days; Rosey is just entered for Sunday. This is an outdoor trial and Mom thinks it might be too hot for Rosey. I should be done with my runs before it gets too hot.

Wow, that Saturday course looked tricky, but Solo sure nailed it! What height does he jump, 12" or 16"?

Solo has to jump 16". He is not quite 15" at the shoulder. He is often the smallest dog in the 16" class. The opening sequence was actually fun to do. With my small front yard, I have done those types of patterns before. What I didn't like was the standard course time. That opening sequence couldn't be done fast (even by the high drive dogs) without taking down bars. But the sequence didn't take up much "yardage", so the course time was low. The SCT was only 42 seconds and Solo did the course in 40.20 seconds -- so we only got the 1 MACH point.

Colleen

Well "close" is a relative term. But the betting money is you will get your MACH before I get mine -- or if you could get into AKC trials you would have your MACH first.

Solo, my mom wants to know what you are on to even think that! We are still in ExcA except for FAST where we only have one Q. We are going to an AKC trial next Monday so we'll see how that goes. :wnk

Star,
Once you get the bar-dropping issue resolved, you will rack up double Q's and points much faster than I will. Assuming I do get back into shape and that I remember to lift my a** high enough to get over the jumps, I'm not that fast. Faster than Rosey, but nearly as fast as you.

Glad to hear you got into an AKC trial.
