Hi...I'm new (fairly) to the forum. What is the difference between rally and agility? I also saw something called conformation?

Welcome, Gina! I'll let those involved with the sports give you all the FUN details, but the short answer is:

rally: it's a type of obedience competition
agility: the action competition with jumps, dog walks, teeter totters, weave poles, sit/stay tables, tunnels and more (and any combination of this, depending on the individual class of agility within the full trial)
conformation: what you see in the dog show rings - judging a dog's characteristic/temperament to the breed standard. There is the more formal AKC conformation and the less formal (but still highly structured) UKC conformation

Hi Gina,
Peggy gives a good definition of the differences. In this section of the forum you can find videos of Rosey, Solo and Star doing agility. And last August Michelle posted a video of Gemma doing rally. I think Mary Howard has posted obedience and rally videos, as well. If you search on those terms, I think you'll find other videos. (Search function is in the upper right-hand corner).
