I have a pet peeve at the moment- puppy dealers! I don't know if they are a bad problem in the US, but here in the UK there are people who go around advertising themselves as small home breeders of pedigree pups like cockers but if you keep an eye on them over time you notice they have 8 week old puppies year long which they sell very cheap. They also often keep a bitch at home which they say to visitors is the mum! These dealers will also contact breeders, pretending to be private buyers who wish to give a puppy a good home but can't afford so offer to buy a puppy for a fraction of the asking price. Is it my imagination, or are there are lot more scammers than there used to be in society? Maybe I just never noticed before..? It's really depressing and frustrating! In any case, buyer and breeder beware!
