I have a beautiful black female I am looking to breed. She will be two years old this May. Her mother was sable, father is black. I have some questions regarding genetics in and coat colors of the pups.The sires parents were BR and silver, The mothers parents BR&WH,and red.Further generations show silver, buff,black and chocolate. Is black considered to be the dominant gene or will she have some colored pups depending on the sire? Any information would be helpful!

It's going to depend on two things...

The first is: Did she inherit a recessive buff gene or a recessive brown gene from her parents? You could do genetic testing to figure that out, or you could just cross your fingers and see what happens when you breed her.

The second is: the coat color (and any recessive coat color gene) of whoever you breed her with.
