My friends and I went to the Raptor Society Open House today....you automatically join when you purchase the Colorado "Respects Wildlife" license plates. One of my trucks sports it... Anyhow, the fences made it hard to photograph the birds, but here are some of the better ones.

Was amazed at the size of the bald eagles....they look so small in the sky...

I've seen eagles up close and personal at a raptor rehabilitation center here in TN and they are AWESOME, to say the least. I also love the owls. Have you read "Wesley the Owl?" It's such a cute little book (true story) about a woman who kept him and taught him how to be an owl. I learned a lot about owls from reading it.

I've not hear of that book. Have you seen this, Tina? Humboldt Bay baby eglets? They just hatched last week.
