Here's a picture of Penny, after her little trim today. She's doing very well with her basic commands and has been riding in the car without vomiting! So we can take walks in more interesting locations than just our neighborhood. She's finally willing for me to put her leash on and take it off without her running away and hopping on the couch first. I don't know where she got that silly idea, but it was beginning to get old, for me! In the potty department, she's trying ESP. When she looks at me intently, I know she has plans.

OMG ....those eyes! You could melt right into that face! For all of her life, Murphy stared intently into my face whenever she needed to go out, never scratched on a door or any other signal. Penny is a sweet beauty!

:lol2 :lol2 :lol2 :lol2 Our first cocker, Sadie, would do the intense look -- we called it the "my eyes are flooding." When Sadie gave you that stare you knew it was time to take her out.

Looking forward to meeting Penny this summer,

Colleen

Pretty Penny. Looks like she is training you :raz Love that she is settling in and gaining trust so she can ride in the car, and experience fun walks. She needed your calm presence to blossom

She's too adorable! Max does the intense stare too. He comes up and puts his head on some part of your body and gives you the "eye". We tried training him with bells on the door but that would mean he wouldn't be underfoot and he couldn't deal with that. :lol2

Hi Jean,

You did a lovely job with Penny using only scissors. That's a lot of work, but I know that you do this out of love for your "clipper scared" little girl. :hp With all the love and attention, you will work wonders on her. :th-up

I too love those big eyes. :love

Dawn :paw

Muraco always runs to the farthest corner of the sofa as well. So, I feel your pain in that regard. :roll UGH!
