… to say hi. It seems that my forum reading has gone by the wayside far too frequently in the past months. :sad But it's good to see so many familiar names as I look at some of the posts I've missed, and I thought I'd tell you all that Bisou is healthy and happy, though she won't be too thrilled when I need to groom her in the next couple of days! :wnk

In fact, she and I were in a little accident on Friday, but she came out of it without even a smudge of dirt! I had taken her to the local groomer to have her nails trimmed (I'm still chicken about that) and was lifting her out of the car, trying to avoid putting her white paws down on the oily roads we have here. I didn't see a little barrier next to the door, caught my foot, and went down like a ton of bricks. My arms took the brunt of things, since I was trying so hard not to let Bisou get hurt, but she's fine, so it was worth the scrapes and ruined slacks. :Clap

Here's my little sweetheart in one of her favorite "hidey holes":

Hi, Sandy - nice to hear from you! I'm so glad your accident was minor. I know we'd all take the brunt of a mishap in order to save our pups. Bisou is looking adorable, as always!

Hi Tina and Lisa! Thanks for the good wishes, and I'm glad I'm not the only one scared of trimming nails. :tg

Thanks, Stella! I can't believe how lucky we were to be able to get Bisou. She has some "issues" (timidity, mostly), but she's such a sweetheart that I can't imagine not having her. BTW, I love your avatar! :happy

Thanks, Sally — yup, same coloring! You're right; I was much more worried about whether she was hurt than about protecting myself. :lol2

Glad you are both OK. Those barriers are deadly. I fell over one months ago and I still have internal bruising around my knees. Bisou is a pretty girl. One thing about Rugby being chocolate - I hardly ever notice if he's dirty.

Hi, Esther! Yes, as I told my husband, if my *first* foot had hit the barrier, I'd have stubbed my toe a bit. Since I'd already taken a first step, though, my second foot hit and stopped dead, while my body kept going. My lower shoulder area is a bit sprained (nothing broken, per the x-rays), and I'm bruised and embarrassed, but I'm so glad Bisou didn't get hurt!

What was funny was that a woman came running over when I splatted. Trying to be helpful, she reached to grab Bisou, who was no longer in my arms but whose leash was still firmly gripped in my hand. Bisou, being the rather timid soul that she is, immediately backed up and tried to run away. That really scared me, but I had a good hold on the leash, so she didn't get anywhere. Whew! :th-up
