To those of you who know me, prayer is a huge part of my life. Prayer from our forum family is one of the things that makes this forum so great.
Debbie’s (debbiefive) son Sean is about to deploy to Afghanistan. I am asking that you pray daily for Sean and all the other servicemen and women who are serving this country and helping to preserve our freedom. And pray for their families whose hearts ache and are so filled with fear. May God guide them, keep their ears open to His word, and keep them hid “beneath the shadow of His mighty wing”. May God soothe the troubled hearts of the families left at home and comfort them while their loved ones are away.

Prayers to Sean and all serving so we may enjoy our safe, secure lives here. My brother Stephen and nephew Dustin are also serving. Debbie, I always send "care" packages of cookies so they all can enjoy a piece of home. Simple sugar cookies seem to get the highest votes.

I am keeping Sean and all of our military in my prayers. May God watch over each of them, keep them safe and bring them home to their families. May He also watch over all of the families, give them comfort and strength and have peace in their hearts.

Praying for Sean and I am very grateful for Sean's service to our great country - thank you Sean! Prayer is so very important for our military. It's a privilege to pray for them.
