This is a first for Camp Cocker Rescue, rescuing a dog from another state . . . but when we saw this dog's picture and heard his story, we took quick action.

This little cocker had been a stray dog for three weeks in the town of Madison, TN. The police had been called, the dog had been scanned for a microchip, flyers were posted everywhere to look for the owners and no one came forward.

A good samaritan in the neighborhood had been feeding the dog until it got attacked by a large dog. The eye needs to be removed asap and the lady is not in a financial position to either pay for medical care and can't take the dog into her home.

Luckily, we found a volunteer whom lives in the Nashville area who got in her car and drove over there to immediately get the dog picked up and bring him to the animal emergency hospital.

We need to raise funds right now to pay for this dog to go into emergency surgery from the dog attack and the eye is most likely going to need to be removed.

This dog is out of surgery but needs a very reliable foster in the Goodlettsvilee TN area, please go to camp cocker.com to fill out an application. You can read his complete story and see photos on the chip in link.

That precious little Sweet Pea. God bless the wonderful people that are looking out for Sweet Pea and prayers that Sweet Pea will find a wonderful forever home. That baby will need lots of care as she recovers from this very serious surgery. It's very easy to donate to help with the costs of this surgery - the link is very easy. :hp

I want people to understand that when a topic is "moved," it can STILL BE ACCESSED from the original posting place. Moving it is really COPYING it into the proper place on the forum - but, in reality, it can be accessed FROM BOTH PLACES. It doesn't actually move from the original posting place and get buried somewhere else because we leave the shadow topic in place. Try going to the original posting place (eg Cockers, cockers and more cockers) where a topic states that it has been "moved." You can still click on it, and it takes it to the proper posting place, where anyone who is looking in that section can also access it. In reality, it's a good thing when something is moved, because it gives it MORE exposure by being in two different places on the forum.

I'm sorry if moving a topic upsets some people, but it's just a way to keep similar topics together. And yes, we might miss a few things, but all of us Mods. work full time and try to moderate the forum. If there is a particular topic someone is interested in and they are not happy with the way it's handled on this forum, maybe it's best to start a forum specifically for that topic? :dk

Does anyone have an update on Sweet Pea? I donated some money and haven't seen an update since then. Are more donations needed?

Sweet Pea is in need of a home in the Nashville area. Camp Cocker has updates about him on their facebook page.
