I just came back from the groomer's and I'm ready for our trip tomorrow to California. We are going to play agility but mostly to see my Big-Sis Rosey get her MACH!

The trial is three days, Fri-Sun and we hope our forum friends from there can come and see us so that we can all celebrate the huge event!

I have heard that I will be getting a bath tomorrow. It seems that we will have rain tonight and tomorrow morning which means my agility lesson is going to be canceled. Mom needs to try and fix my top knot so that I look good for any "potentially" important photos .

BTW -- enjoy the weave poles and don't worry about the blue nylon tape (where the poles get inserted) getting wet and dirty from the rain. Mom left it out in the rain before.

It's not Star, it is Solo. The trial is NOT at Industry. It is about 5 minutes east of Industry, at the Brookside Equestrian Center in Walnut. This is NOT a covered site so we might be getting wet .

Appropriate Schedule
Friday, APRIL 13 (YES THAT IS A FRIDAY THE 13TH )-- Rosey, Star and I will start running about 10:30ish. Karlie Bug will be in the early afternoon. FWIW--if it is really raining hard on Friday, Mom is pulling Rosey. Rosey doesn't run if there is standing water on the course and Mom isn't risking an injury or a major attitude issue with only 10 points left to go for the MACH. Mom is trial chair so she has to be there. I'll be running because I'm not bothered by the rain. I figure if Mom can run in the mud, so can I .


Sat and Sun, APRIL 14 - 15 -- Weather is looking to be better. Rosey likes it when it is partly cloudy and in the 50s. Star and I will have our first runs at 8:00. Rosey will run around 9:30. Karlie Bug will run after 1:00. Star and I have 3 runs each day. Rosey has 2 runs. I don't know about Karlie Bug.

It would be wonderful to see you again! Mom is not volunteering so much at this trial so that she can spend time with anyone who comes to visit!

I see that Solo answered all the questions very thoroughly. Thanks, Solo, mom would not allow me near the computer. I've been in the dog house only because I pulled out of my little cooler a new bag of turkey hearts and ate the entire bag! Yummy, they were delicious but I felt very heavy afterwards.

Hey, Big-Sis Rosey! Can't wait to see you in all your glory! At least you have a good reason for a bath. My mom says it will be raining so I got all cleaned up for one day or so! What a waste of a bath!

Did you know that's where National Velvet was filmed? I know it was before your time, Solo; but you may have heard of it.

Mom thought it was really neat that National Velvet was filmed at this site. Makes a lot of sense for a Hollywood movie from that era to be filmed there. She said it is a good movie theme to keep in mind for this weekend -- run Rosey run and keep those bars up.

I haven't been there in years, but we used to live very close to it. You used to be able to see it from Lemon Street (before they planted all the trees) and walk around in it. I'm curious to see if the white barn is still there.

WEATHER UPDATE: As of Wed am, the weather forecast suggests Friday will be wet from periodic showers, but it is not going to be raining all day like it did last November when you came out. And since the small dogs run late morning, most of the showers may have gone through by the time we run. Saturday has low chance of rain and Sunday looks great.

Mom is hoping by Sunday, I'll be doing my "semi-retirement" run -- that is, my last run at the EX B level. You know, mathematically, you could be in the EX B 12" by Sunday (maybe sooner) and you are going so smoke by butt! I need to finish the MACH and move into preferred.

And Mom says I need to get off the computer and get that bath!

Hey Big-Sis,

I hope you are enjoying your bath. My mom is still working but as soon as she's finished for the day we head to the airport.
We don't care about getting wet but my mom cares about having to give me a bath and the mud that I collect. Aunty Kathy says that there is still mud in her car from that trip in November that she has not been able to get off!

Whatever it does we'll have fun. Oh, the other thing my mom doesn't like is that I don't Q as much when it is wet because I tend to knock more bars when slippery.

We have arrived! Aunty Kathy is delayed at work so we're at the Sky Club waiting for her.

Wow...you look very dirty in the picture but you are still beautiful to me. My mom won't allow me near muddy water because she say that it will take her too much time to bath me. Yes, my mom is no fun but I guess she know what is best for me.

Hi All,

Well it seems that tomorrow, Friday the 13th, the weather is going to suck ! The number of agility runs we do will be a "game time decision." If the rain stays on the low end of the estimate, 1/2 inch, then the courses should hold up ok. If we do get 1 inch of rain, the courses get pretty torn up -- especially with the taller dogs (border collies, cattle dogs, etc.) running first tomorrow. Mom is also worried that the videographers won't be taping because of the rain.

At least the weather forecast for the rest of the weekend is better.

Thanks for the update, Solo. Looks like I'll shoot for Saturday unless the weathermen are wrong. I kept changing the channels this morning, hoping I would find one that would have a promising forecast. All winter long, we wanted rain.....

Karlie Bug here... we are not scheduled to run on Friday cause daddy has to work at his real job, but we will be there on Sat and Sun. I get to run with dad and mom gets to vend. Kaitlyn will be there watching as she is not ready to run yet but is taking classes. We can't wait to see everyone and especially Rosie get her Mach. I am only running in novice so won't be competing against you guys but looking to have lots and lots of fun. See you Saturday, weather is looking promising for the weekend just not so much on Friday, so if you guys run Friday, be careful.
